Penny Manning, LCPC

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
I have always felt a very intuitive connection to others in need and also, an inclination toward problem solving. These tendencies made the field of clinical psychology a natural fit for me. I received my undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Northern Illinois University and my graduate degree from Roosevelt University. I began my career as a mental health counselor working for a large community health center over twenty-five years ago. Here, I gained experience working with a variety of client populations. This exposure helped me to realize who I work best with and what approaches best served me as a clinician.
In 2000, I opened my own private practice, catering primarily to women, ages 18 and over. I work with clients to overcome their challenges with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, and chronic illness. Our sessions are a judgement-free zone, conducive to self expression, reflection, and personal growth. I try to make the sessions relaxed and positive, while also productive and transformative. My mission is to do no harm, to offer an unwavering commitment to your growth, and to ALWAYS believe in you.
My motto is “Never give up” and my words of wisdom are “Never underestimate your ability to change”.
I am passionate about both supporting and motivating my clients to overcome obstacles and become the very best version of themselves possible.
